Welcome to APUSH!COURSE DESCRIPTION
AP United States History will survey the major themes in U.S. political, social and cultural history from the 15th century to today, while building extensive college-level skills in preparation for a college-level exam, administered by the College Board on Wednesday, May 14, 2014, at 8:00 a.m. AP United States History provides students with the equivalent of a freshman college survey course in U.S. History. The ultimate goal of our coursework is successful completion of the AP United States History Exam and scoring a 3 or above on the exam. Students will acquire factual knowledge and practice critical thinking as they develop higher level reading, analysis, and writing skills that will better prepare them for not only the AP Exam but also their future educational areas. This course is divided into periods of time and emphasizes themes throughout history. In the end, as long as students are willing to work hard, students will possess a broad and complex understanding of United States history and will be better prepared for college.
